Mudra; an Overview (Images)

In this exhibition, Paola explores gesture, embodiment and dance. Her work is informed by Eastern body/mind practises, particularly by Zen Buddhism, which sees all actions as having the potential to become meditative arts.

The first level of this artful living is experienced in our relationship with the body, its movements and moods. Living artfully and in full embodiment, is proposed through her work, as an antidote to the “dumbing down” and desensitization of our modern lives. Dancer Joann Davis and the “Western Buddhist Order” will give their contribution at the opening of the exhibition.

Italian Cultural Institute Dublin

With “Authentic Movement” Joann Davis will perform an improvised dance in response to the environment. The “Western Buddhist Order” will underline the originality of the artist with a “Sutra” representation.
